Far away from home: the voices, the body and the periphery

"Far Away From Home: The Voices, the Body and the Periphery" investigates the questions of what it means to be a communist today or to define yourself as one and how the interpretation of history and politics of remembering influence the formation of our identities and our view of the future.

In 2024, "Far Away from Home" was granted the Kraszna-Krausz Photography Book Award and the Pick:24 Book Award during the Athens Photo Festival; it was selected as one of the Best Dutch Book Designs of 2023 and shortlisted for the 9th Singapore International Photography Festival Photobook Showcase. In 2023, the book was nominated for the Paris Photo - Aperture Photobook of the Year Award, the Les Rencontres d'Arles Photo - Text Book Award and the Encontros da Imagem Photobook Award; the Dutch national newspaper de Volkskrant chose "Far Away from Home" as one of the Best 10 Dutch Photobooks of 2023.
